Book 29 - The Monster at the end of the Book by Jon Stone

This is a gold star book.  Grover is so scared because there is a monster at the end of the book.  So he tried some stuff like tying the pages, hammering it, and bricking it and then he is at the end of the book.  He is so embarrassed.  My favourite part is the brick wall because it is really funny when it falls over on him.   My second favourite part is when he is so embarrassed.  My third favourite part is when he is near the end of the book and he says"Please, please, please do not turn the page!"



Book 28 - It's a Book by Lane Smith

Thank you Barb for the book.  I LOVE this book!  It says my favourite word, I know you are wondering what it is - Jackass. Stacey used to call Andre 'jackass' but only in a funny nice way.

The characters are a mouse, a monkey and a jackass.  It is about a jackass that doesn't even know what a book is.  The monkey has a book. The jackass asks what is it and the monkey says it is a book.  The jackass wants to know if it can text, tweet or toot.  The jackass borrows the book and promises to charge it up.  The mouse tells him you don't have to because "it's a book jackass. 

It is a GOLD star!

Book 27 - Hey Little Ant by Phillip and Hannah Hoose

The kid has to decide what he should do about squishing an ant.  The ant is trying to convince him not to let his shoe come down and squish him.  My favourite part was when the ant was gigantic.  I think the boy should not let his shoe come down because what would you want to happen if you were the ant. 

So you should not squish ants.  Except the red ants because they bite, bite, bite.   

This is a gold star book.

Book 26 - Diary of a Spider by Doreen Cronin

 This is a funny book about a spider who is friends with a fly.  This is his diary.  My favourite part of this book is when Fly gets stuck in Spider's web and now Fly is not allowed playing at Spider's house any more. 

This book is a gold star!
