Book 8 - Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak

It is the best book ever because Uncle Andre gave it to me.  Max lives with the wild things and it was only his imagination.  Max wears a wolf costume.  He told his mother "I will eat you up!" but she still gives him supper because she loves him.

Book 7 - Danny and the Dinosaur by Syd Hoff

Danny met the Dinosaur at the museum.  The museum reminds me of going to Toronto because we saw dinosaurs. I had only seen dinosaurs in books and in cartoons before Toronto.  It is a Silver Star. The only thing I didn’t like was the dinosaur didn’t go crazy and eat everything.  Too bad he never did.  I like when the people rode the dinosaur tail instead of the bus.

Book 6 - At the Carnival by Kirsten Hall

It is about a guy who goes to the carnival and his mom says stay close and don’t go far. His mom goes on each ride with him. For example, he went on the pony ride and went on the log ride and on the bumper cars.  This book was easy to read.  You could read it in one second.  This is a bronze star book.

Book 5 - There's a Wocket in my Pocket by Dr.Seuss

I like the Wocket in his pocket. I like that all the funny names rhyme.  Like the Tellar and the Nellar and the Zellar and the Wellar in the Cellar. This is a Silver Star book.

Book 4 - Puff the Magic Dragon

Puff the Magic Dragon lived by the sea.  I like the pictures in this book.  I like it because I like the song. This book used to have a cd but I don’t know what happened to it.  It is a mystery. I like the picture under the cover.  I put the cover on my bookshelf.  A gold star because it has golden on the cover.

Book 3 - I am Going by Mo Willems

This is a Piggie and Gerald book. I like Piggie and Gerald.   Piggie is going to lunch but Gerald doesn't know that until the end.  He asks if it is a big lunch and then he goes to lunch with Piggie because it is a big lunch. 

Book 2 - I'm going to Eat You! by Matt Mitter

This book is about this guy Spike who is scared of something.  He is not scared of the stuff that is really scary - like the bogeyman and the sea serpant in his bathtub. He is scared of his sister eating the last cookie. I like the pop-up in this book. 

Book 1 - Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss

I like Dr. Seuss books because I can read them easily.  Green Eggs and Ham is about somebody who doesn't want to try the green eggs and ham and then he finally tries them and likes them.  That is a lesson.  That if you don't try it you don't know that you like it.
