Book 32 - The Life and Times of Douglas Harold Saunderson. An Unauthorized Biography by his Mother.

This is one of my favourite books.  It was written just for me!

Grampy used to have a cool jeep but now he drives a lawn tractor.  My favourite part is a story about when Grampy was little.  They drove through a covered bridge and it was very dark inside.  Grampy was only 2 years old and when they went through the bridge Grampy pullled out his shirt and said "Where is me?" because he couldn't see himself.

One time when Grampy was little and he was supposed to be having a nap and he snuck out of his room and got a whole bunch of strawberries and when his mom found him he had them all over his room and himself.

When Grampy Doug got a job at Vito's he gained 30 pounds from eating pizza every day!

Grampy Doug's brother Jeff taught me how to steer a sailboat using a a wheel as big as me or just to do it the easy way by pushing a button.

I love this book because it has funny stories about my Grampy!  Thanks Claire!

Book 31 - The Tawny Scrawny Lion by Katheryn Jackson

It is all about a tawny scrawny lion.  He chases zebras, monkeys, bears and kangaroos.  A rabbit comes along and the big animals ask him to talk to the lion.  The lion was too skinny to have a talk with the rabbit so the rabbit took him to his house for supper.  They had to stop a bunch of times on the way for fish and berries and other things.  So the rabbits feed him lots of carrot stew and then he only wants to eat carrot stew and not animals.  Except fish because they are a type of animal and they are in the stew. 

 Aunt Stacey read this book as a kid.  She thinks it should be a gold star because it has good memories of being a kid.   I think it is a gold star too. 

Book 30 - Scaredy Squirrel has a Birthday Party by Melanie Watt

I like it.  It is by Melanie Watt, one of my favourite authors to be exact. 

Scaredy Squirrel is scared of everything - germs, confetti, a whole bunch of things.  Scaredy Squirrel likes a plan, just like Aunt Stacey and just like me.  We love planning, one time we planned a mascot cake for the Olympics.  Except Scaredy Squirrel's ideas never work and ours always do. 

We have to plan a party for Aunt Stacey's birthday. This book was a gift from Aunt Stacey because I read so many books already!

Book 29 - The Monster at the end of the Book by Jon Stone

This is a gold star book.  Grover is so scared because there is a monster at the end of the book.  So he tried some stuff like tying the pages, hammering it, and bricking it and then he is at the end of the book.  He is so embarrassed.  My favourite part is the brick wall because it is really funny when it falls over on him.   My second favourite part is when he is so embarrassed.  My third favourite part is when he is near the end of the book and he says"Please, please, please do not turn the page!"
